In recent years, the two-year pandemic and some changes of domestic education policies in 2021 have brought new challenges to the development of international schools and private schools in China. However, in the face of challenges, international schools have shown a trend of change, mainly in the curriculum. In terms of restructuring and other aspects, this trend has become more in-depth and comprehensive and has a far-reaching impact under the dual drive of policy and market. How international schools determine their own school-running positioning and school-running characteristics, how to develop courses that meet the requirements of policy norms and student literacy development, and how to improve the quality of education are topics that international schools and private schools will continue to think about in the future. With the pace of China’s reform and development, there is still space for development of international schools in the future.
